Mission

Kaja MANAGEMENT is an unconventional management company that initiates and promotes creative and original ideas and projects that strengthen the meeting between, what can be described as, complex music and a curious audience. Focusing on established artists with international potential, Kaja Management represents some of the most interesting artists and projects on the Danish experimental music scene.

One of the company’s focus areas is to introduce audiences to new music and sounds that they are not familiar with already. This is primarily done via musical events that transcend genres and art forms – often with an interdisciplinary approach and a holistic experience in mind.

Our story

Kaja MANAGEMENT was founded in Copenhagen in 2013 from personal aspirations to professionalise and support the experimental music scene. Identifying a gap in the market, the company quickly grew as the need for these types of services became apparent. The first few projects associated to Kaja MANAGEMENT originated from the avantgarde jazz world and contemporary music field recognising a connection between the two mindsets. Throughout the years more genres and musical approaches have been investigated and experimented with in various contexts.

Drawing from the years founder Kat Jarby resided in England, in addition to a continuous infatuation of working cross-nationally, Kaja MANAGEMENT teamed up with international partners from the beginning. With the help of these, Danish experimental music has been presented in countries such as Germany, Estonia, Brazil, Hungary, Serbia, Belgium, the UK, France, Spain and the US, to name a few. Many new markets have been explored since and the music and projects connected to the company continues to enchant audiences all over.

Latest addition to the company is Kaja Coaching, which supports and develops artistic processes and creative businesses through 1:1 sessions and workshops. Read more in the appropriate section.
